"All Hail the Queen!"
The 6th Grade students at Broadmoor Elementary were a buzz with activity during their Shakespeare Week. They learned about Queen Elizabeth I as seen in the above picture and her Elizabethan times including the playwright and poet William Shakespeare. Click on the pictures for highlights.
The students designed masks for their masquerade ball and learned quotes from Shakespeare. They also learned the history of the theatre during Shakespeare’s time and different plays like Hamlet and Julius Caesar. The students all dressed up like different Shakespeare characters and performed Romeo and Juliet
for their fellow students and their parents on Friday. A festive event was had by all.
